The Indian Wedding Expo 2009 is an annual event that brings together every Indian wedding tradition and customs under one roof. It is one of the greastest expo for traditional Indian weddings on a huge scale, with more than 60 exhibitors present.

Even at the entrance, an archway by Dream Works, decorated with miniature Ganesh sculptures greet your first step into the hall. From bridal studios to photographers, sari-sellers and Henna painters, landscaping and events management companies; even live Henna painting for interested customers, done right on the spot.

Although more well-known names such as Amu’s Academy of Bridal and Beauty, De Lourve and Universal Bridal studio, Lavam Digital Creations stood out with its unique story-telling albums, where photos are arranged in a sequence, along with some text, to tell a story, or chronicle an event.

For the events management booths, there are settings on display ranging from dining sets to the altar. In competing elaborateness and grandness, altar decorations, featuring the deity Lord Ganesha stood in every corner of every booth; with statues of gold or marble, decorated with flowers, pottery and various designs of kolams. Jojo Event Management and Catering’s dining setting is probably the most eye-catching—a fountain as a decorative on the huge table, set in a sweet shade of pink.

But for the fun part, it will be watching the Romali Roti demonstration by Gem Restaurant’s chef, as the professional display his skills in the preparation of this traditional Indian cuisine. The Tamil Classical Performance by Sankara & G One won quite a thunderous applauds as well.  Its very funny!!!

Organized by D’Organiser (M) Sdn. Bhd. the expo is held at the Midvalley Megamall Exhibition Hall. The Expo begins on the 30^th of April, ending on 3^rd of May.
