The Community Center in Cow Island has been the location for District 13 Biddy Basketball for many years. It was also used as a temporary school to the children from Forked Island E Broussard Elementary after Hurricane Rita.  In addition it is used every year for Catechism classes for the children in our community.  It is the location of the Annual St.Anne Church festival.  The sewage tank is cracked and the Vermilion Parish School Board does not want to put anymore money into this.  They are in the process of looking for the original owners and Lord only knows what will happen to the Community Center then. What I am saying is there has to be a way to get the sewage system fixed. It would be a loss to the community and to our kids if the buildings have to be destroyed.
